It’s always funny to me to be in the UK when Mother’s Day is being promoted in all of the shop windows in March, because the US date is in May.
I wish I could tell you I’d be taking my mom somewhere fun like a day at the Columbia Road Flower Market here in London, a tasty brunch in Notting Hill or an even sitting in North Tonawanda on my parents’ giant couch with homemade margaritas.
Truth is, there will be an ocean between us, but we’ll chat on the phone and have a day together when I’m home in about a month instead. I’ll bring some goodies from London, because she’s the best mom ever, of course.
Here’s a few bits and pieces if you’re shopping for yours:
1. Brown Eggs and Jam Jars cookbook 2. Pretty green scarf from J. Crew 3. A box of everyday blank photo notecards from my summer collection 4. A lovely jasmine candle 5. My favourite L’Occitane hand lotions to tuck in each bag or keep on my desk 6. An elegant square link bracelet 7. A planter made with love from my dad’s etsy shop 8. A silky kimono robe 9. Louboutin nailpolish in a sleek bottle 10. A Christian Lacroix notebook
Do you celebrate US Mother’s Day? What are your plans?
