A Very Important Day

It feels completely surreal that this day has finally arrived, that as you read this, I’ll be in hospital welcoming our daughter into this increasingly crazy world.

I think it will take that first cry for everything to really sink in, to fully realise that today is that dividing line between Life Without Kids and Life With Kids and that it will never be the same.

I can’t wait to meet her, to discover what she looks like, watch her over the years to come as she grows and learns and develops a personality. I can’t wait to find out what inspires her, what drives her, what talents she will have.

As a first time mother, I have no idea what to expect from our first few hours, days, months and years together, but I want to be in the moment with her as much as possible as we experience this new adventure as a family.

And so, for that reason and so I can also focus on recovering, you probably won’t see any new updates here until the middle of May or June. (And no, this won’t turn into a “mom blog”!)

Find me on Instagram in the meantime!

What joy added to your life! Savour the experience because time seems to speed up and the next thing you know they have the nerve to tell you that they will be 46 on their next birthday……not possible, nope, can’t be – in my mind they are still my babies!

I think we all would love to see photos and posts about the wee one and of the loving, doting parents! So happy for all of you.
