Little Weekend Links 49

Happy Halloween! Are you dressing up? Did you carve a pumpkin? The most festive activity I’ve done this year is take photos of cats with spooky glowing in an Athen’s cemetery last weekend (see first photo in Wednesday’s post). That said, it’s never been a holiday I’ve paid much attention to since I was a kid and trick-or-treating was an option.

This week has once again been a week of catch up on my inbox and life’s necessities like unpacking and laundry. After spending 5 days in Athens for the TBEX travel blogger conference, I’ve been editing photos and drooling over all of the travel adventures of bloggers I either met or was recommended to read during the event. They were an incredibly inspiring group just as they were last year in Dublin. Imagine the conversations of 800 travel bloggers in one place! While I didn’t have too much time to explore the city itself this trip, I did manage to take quite a few photos nonetheless so expect some Greece posts over the next few weeks.

This weekend I have no specific plans apart from working on a few projects that are in the pipeline, tonight dinner with some friends and just relishing the fact that my feet are on the groups for the next seven weeks which I’m actually looking forward to despite the fact that November is London’s rainiest month.

What are you up to over the next few days?

I rarely dress up for Halloween unless I have a costume party to go to, which I do tonight. And tomorrow night there is a big Day of the Dead parade I’m going to attend in the Mexican neighborhood. Should be a great time! The TBEX conference sounds amazing! What an inspiring 5 days that must have been! Have a great weekend! xo

I rarely do either, but a Day of the Dead parade sounds like fun, especially in a Mexican neighbourhood! TBEX is incredible. I hope I can go next year as well. It’s a brilliant conference. Hope you have a great weekend too!xo

We really enjoyed Friday’s dinner – great restaurant. Thanks for inviting us. So as it happens, I was wrong regarding Day of the Dead celebrations! Indeed the 1st is to remember children (Day of the Innocent) and the 2nd is for adults (see bottom para. http://www.oxotower.co.uk/events/day-dead/). You learn something every day! Also the furniture company that Pablo Delgado collaborates with is called Histeria (http://www.histeria.co/nuestro-cataacutelogo.html).

Have a good Sunday and saludos to Jorge.

Thanks Rodrigo! We really enjoyed it too. It was great to meet both of you and thanks for coming west. Interesting about the Day of the Dead celebrations. Glad to know the my seatmate on the plane wasn’t trying to mess with me. Haha. I’ll have a look at Histeria. Thanks for the link. Looking forward to seeing you both again in December. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
